Background And Experience
Stephen first began his professional career as a sports and feature writer, creating game stories and recaps of University of Texas basketball for the United Press International (UPI) wire service, and served as a staff writer covering sports, business and city government for several newspapers and magazines in the Central Texas area.
Stephen has concentrated most of the past 15 years writing copy for the Web, including email campaigns, blogs, feature articles, press releases and ads. He spent two years as editor and publisher of an e-newsletter focusing on adaptive sports and recreation for people with disabilities.
Along with his career as a copywriter, Stephen has spent over three decades as a radio broadcaster. He has written hundreds of news stories, blogs and commercials promoting major brands like At&T, Google and Sears.
Special Training
As a member of American Writers and Artists, Inc. (AWAI), Stephen successfully completed programs in email and newsletter copywriting.
Civic Activities
A strong believer in community involvement, Stephen has volunteered and served on advisory boards for Easter Seals, Goodwill, Special Olympics and the American Council of the Blind. He's also given hundreds of speeches and presentations for schools, businesses, churches and other organizations.
